Chopsuey Pork Ingredients

( Steps by Step guide)

  • Pork Version Chopsuey Easy Guide below
    • 300 grams pork; sliced sliced into small pieces (preferred)
    • 250 grams shrimps; shelled (optional)
    • 250 grams chicken giblets & liver; sliced to small pieces (optional)
  • Vegetable ingredients from the list:
    • 1 piece red bell pepper; sliced (preferred)
    • 1 medium carrot; sliced into thin circles (preferred)
    • 250 grams cabbage; cut into thin ribbon-like shreds (preferred)
    • 2 stalks of leeks; cut into 2-inch portions (preferred)
    • 150 grams sayote; peeled and sliced
    • 150 grams baguio beans;
  • 4 cloves garlic; minced
  • 1 onion; chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil

Chopsuey Cooking Ingredients

  1. Mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup water. Set aside the mixture.
  2. In a wok under high heat, quickly stir fry the vegetables until it becomes crunchy. Set aside in a plate.
  3. In same wok, sauté garlic and onion, then add the meat ingredients.
  4. Season with salt and allow time for meat to absorb seasoning.
  5. bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the vegetables and cornstarch-water mixture to thicken the sauce.
  7. Balance seasoning with salt according to taste.
  8. Cook quickly as not to overcook the vegetables.

Cooking Tip

  • Add vegetables in the order of their respective tenderness. Add first those that are longer to cook than those easier to get tender.

Pinoy Budget Meals Ginamay

Ingredients:

300 grams Pork cube (Cut in small pieces)
2 pcs Carrots (Cut in cubes)
2 pcs Potato (Cut in cubes)
1 Bell Pepper (Green and Red)
1 Chayote (Chop in bite sizes)
2 Cloves of Garlic (Minced)
1 Onion (Minced)
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Banana ketchup or Tomato Sauce
Sugar (as desired)
Salt (as desired)

Procedure:
Saute garlic and onions (Don’t let the garlic and onion get over cooked).

Add pork and let brown or done. let it cook for a few minutes (maybe 5 – 10 mins.)

Add potato and water and let it simmer until the potato are soft.

Add the carrots . Let it simmer for 5 Mins.

Add banana ketchup or tomato sauce and let it boil.

Add Sugar and salt to taste. (Add sugar and salt gradually until you think the taste is enough for you*)
Add the chayote and let it simmer for 5 mins.
Serve it hot and good to eat.
